Celeste Thomas’ Hacks, Rituals & Tools for Thriving in Motherhood
What is your favorite self-care product?
I love a good dry brush—especially the Butter Brush. It’s amazing for stimulating the lymphatic system and gently exfoliating dead skin. It also helps energize the body, which is a total game-changer when you’re a sleep-deprived, busy mom (we need all the support we can get!). I especially love pairing it with a cold shower to really wake up and feel refreshed.
Are there any unique ways you use TSC tools?
When you’re pregnant – your hormones go crazy. And let me tell you there are hairs that pop up EVERYWHERE. I will spare you the details, but you can use your imagination with this one. That’s why I love having TSC’s Shave Cream on hand. It makes dermaplaning so easy and helps me quickly take care of those pesky little hairs whenever they pop up.
As a busy, working mom, what are your most efficient habit stacks?
I’ve got some pretty wild ones! One of my favorite hacks is baby-wearing while Billie naps—while walking on my walking pad AND getting work done at the same time. I’m basically multitasking at a pro level—rocking 15 lbs and getting my steps in. Honestly, that might be my hottest tip.
When you’re on the go, what’s your quick go-to snack/meal to keep yourself nourished?
I aim to get around 150g of protein each day—both during my pregnancy and now in my postpartum journey. My body really thrives on high-protein foods, and since I also have a major sweet tooth, I’ve been loving these super clean Pecan Protein Balls. Each one packs 15g of protein and totally satisfies my cravings. Here’s the recipe.
What’s your favorite workout?
I have historically been a Pilates princess —there’s just something about a solid Megaformer Pilates class that I love. But these days, with two little ones and not a lot of free time, I’ve shifted my routine to home workouts in the garage. I’ve been focusing on strength training and weightlifting, prioritizing time under tension to help rebuild bone density. Fun fact: bone density can decrease by up to 20% with each pregnancy, and after two, I’m definitely working to build it back up.
What’s your everyday ‘uniform’? Is there a cute, comfy set we need to know about?
I’m your quintessential sweatpants mom—I live for comfort! I’m absolutely obsessed with MATE The Label! Their sweat suits are made from organic, non-toxic cotton, and they only get better with every wash. They’re super cozy, hold up beautifully over time, and have become an absolute staple in my everyday wardrobe.
If you had an extra hour to yourself today, what would you do?
I would totally get in a long workout and mobility stretch. Mama needs her quiet time.
What’s on your mother’s day wish list?
I’m in a phase of decluttering everything – Ultimate Spring Clean! Personally, I don’t want any material things this year. I would love to have a slow Sunday with my family, maybe a cozy brunch, delicious food, and time to soak in the sweetness of my babies and my wonderful husband. That’s the kind of gift that fills me up the most.
What do you love most about being a mom?
One of the greatest joys of my life is creating a loving, warm, nurturing, and fun environment for my children—the kind of home I always longed for growing up. As someone raised in a tumultuous single-parent household, it means everything to me to give my kids a sense of stability and peace.
Watching my nearly 3-year-old daughter grow up with such ease and joy, surrounded by supportive and kind parents, fills my heart. I can already see that she’s going to have a beautiful life, and that brings me the deepest sense of fulfillment!
What’s something you love to do with your kids?
My kids are at such different ages that my favorite moments with each of them are totally unique.
With my oldest daughter, Odette—who we call Odie Rose—she’s three, and my favorite part of the day with her is bedtime. My husband and I do it together every night. We read books, tuck her in, and sing songs. I usually climb into her big-girl bed for a few minutes, and we cuddle. She hugs me, holds my face in her little hands, gives me the sweetest kisses, and stares up at me with those big eyes. It’s truly the most precious and grounding moment of my day.
Then there’s our youngest, Billie Blue, who’s just three months old. Right now, my favorite moments with her are during and after breastfeeding. When she’s done eating, I’ll hold her close, make silly faces, and just soak in those early smiles. She’s at that magical age where everything is new, and her tiny grin brings me so much joy—it’s the best.
